Task 3.1 Compilation of available literature and information
Task 3.2 Development of a first version of cost- benefit methodology
Task 3.4 Synthesis and analysis of the cost- benefits of the enabling technologies in the four countries
Task 3.5 Development of the final version of the cost-benefit methodology

Sub-WP 4.1: Assessment study in England
Sub-WP 4.2: Assessment study in Ireland
Sub-WP 4.3: Assessment study in Norway
Sub-WP 4.4: Assessment study in Finland

All the national studies will follow the same methodology which is developed in WP 2, and be based on approval by national ethics committees.

Sub-WP 4.5: Cross-national analysis
Task 4.5.1 Joint report from the assessment studies in four countries (Month 36)

WP 5: Dissemination and exploitation of results
Task 5.1 Develop and disseminate information to a larger audience. Poster, brochure, web site, workshops, presentations and publications, final conference in Norway.
Task 5.2 Dissemination and co-operation with specific groups
Task 5.3 Produce a Technology Implementation Plan

Enabling products for persons with dementia

This is the web site of an exciting research project which is aimed at "marrying the new with the familiar" when developing and introducing new technology to people with dementia and their carers.

Quality of Life
The project aims at facilitating independent living of people with early dementia and to promote their wellbeing through access to enabling systems and products. Pleasure, memory support, entertainment and own activity are key words in the project. The project is funded under the EC Programme Quality of Life and living resources, and will last for three years, starting in March 2001.
 
Five countries, wide experience
The partners are situated in England, Ireland, Finland, Lithuania and Norway, are interdisciplinary and have wide experience in dementia care and research, technology development and human factors.
